5 Side Hustles You Can Do From Home

Going after the life you want can be done from the comfort of your own home. And yes, that includes making money.

It’s time to talk about the steps you can take in your life that will allow you to turn your passion from a part-time dream to full-time freedom. It's becoming more and more common for people to work from home, giving you SO many options for bringing in some extra income. Want some ideas? Check out my top 5:

1. Sell clothing and accessories online

There are SO many places you can do this, from eBay to Amazon! I prefer the app Poshmark where I’ve opened up my own little shop to help my previously loved clothing items find a new home.

If you've got an eye for style, start hitting up the local thrift stores or discount stores in your area.

2. Sell your skills on Fiverr

Fiverr is an online marketplace for freelancers. You can sign up and market your skills, and people will pay you for various odd jobs.

It may not sound like a lot of money at first, but when you aren’t an expert at something yet and you’re really just getting started, this is an amazing place to get experience! Tune into the video to learn what skills you can monetize on Fiverr.

Pro Tip: Get your customers to review your work so you can continue to be searched for easily by people who come to the site and create more work for yourself!

3. Voiceover an audiobook

You can get paid to be the narrator of audiobooks with the company ACX, who handles the production of Audible books. Just create a profile as a narrator and start uploading samples so that authors can listen to your work. Who knows? You could get paid and be credited as the narrator for a best seller! 4. Start a recommendations blog and refer affiliate sales

Affiliate marketing is a massively popular way for literally anyone to make money. It’s as simple as already recommending the things you love to people who want to know what they should use or buy. Amazon is one of the easiest affiliate programs to get started with!

Pro Tip: If you don’t want to make a blog, NBD. You can be just as effective with a niche Instagram account that recommends your favorites kinda like our @shine.squad.secrets page does.

5. Become a paid expert

This is the side-hustle that I’m the most familiar with because it’s now been my full-time freedom for 10 years. Simply by sharing the valuable information you’ve learned in a specialized area with people who want to know it is a fulfilling (and fabulous) way to earn a living.

It does take some time to become an industry specialist, but for those people who are creating a side-hustle that’s location independent for the long haul, this one will be a lucrative one the more patient that you are with it!

Q: Which side hustle sounded interesting to you, if any? Leave that in the comments below.
