  1. Suzi SaintJames says:

Oh, Amy! You missed it! Leah told you why she gets “depressed”. When working, the ONLY thing she does for herself is choose (from a very short catering truck menu)what to eat. She doesn’t choose what to wear, what to say or even how to feel for months at a time. She probably doesn’t even choose her hair color or how much weight to carry and this is her bliss. Why? Is the next question that she answers… Because she’s not perfect or even presentable to go out in public as herself. … The reason she’s not comfortable on the couch at 3pm is because she really wants to be productive, but there’s no one there to tell her what to do, where to stand and what to think. That’s why she thought therapy was successful… The therapist told her how to think and what to do. Here’s my advice to Leah… Realize that when you are out of work that you have to flip that switch from submitting fully to you character… To fully engaging (making decisions) in the direction of your life. Make a plan for your life outside of acting. Like you said time is short and you have two lives, home life and acting life which are polar opposites in the amount of decision making you have to do. The reason getting out, jogging, even making your bed feels so uplifting is because YOU made the decision to do something. The place to start is get with Amy to map out your ideal home life… What you want to do with yourself in between auditions. That’s why the NOs are so devastating, you have no meaningful, productive life between auditions. Sending lots of love ❤ from sunny 🌅 Arizona 🌵
