Here’s what I’m reading this week:

On Kindle: The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich by Tim Ferriss

The first time I read this book was the original edition in 2008. LONG before I had any idea of what it would be like to be a business owner or try to go out on my own to a location-independent lifestyle. I’ve been wanting to re-read it for years because I knew with my new experiences, there would be so much information that I would look at differently.

I finally had the chance to dive in on my social media hiatus last week and I’m SO glad I did. It’s amazing when you feel like you picked something up at the exact right time, isn’t it? My biggest takeaways from this one (and I’m still reading it every night) is that we always always always fill the time we think we have to do something. In a moment in humanity where some of us have the good fortune to work from home, that’s an important thing to remember. Sure, you can work on something all day long because you don’t have a commute and you can sit in front of your work anytime you want. But then where is your life balance?

It may not be about working 4 hours a week. What if you shaved 4 hours off, though? That’s what excites me.

On Audible: Unleash the Power Within: Personal Coaching to Transform Your Life! by Tony Robbins

I don’t think there is anything quite like the motivation of a Tony Robbins speech. I’ve attended the event that this Audible recording shares, Unleash the Power Within. It’s an absolutely extraordinary experience that I recommend everyone do at least once in their life. But clearly, we’re not able to make plans for stuff like that right now. I’m so happy they decided to package this up in an Audible program so we can have the excitement of his motivation and lessons in the comfort of our own homes. Sometimes, you need someone to really spark a light in you, even if you’re just aimlessly wandering through your house trying to figure out what purpose you have in quarantine. Relatable? Pick this up.
